Formed in March of 2006, Beyond Calvary is a five-piece gospel/bluegrass
group from Lorain County, Ohio. While their style ranges from southern
gospel, to traditional hymns, to contemporary bluegrass, their primary
goal
is to lift up the name of Jesus and try to be a blessing to God's
people.
At the head of the group is Rick Keesee, associate pastor of the Midway
Baptist Church of Elyria, Ohio. Along with spreading the good news
wherever
they go, Rick is always quick to tell people ," It's really not about
us, it's all about
Him". The rest of the line up includes, Willard New on banjo, his
son Willie New on mandolin, Bobby Smith on guitar, and his son Joshua Smith on guitar. The
band would
like to thank all of the fine folks who come out to support them and
most of all
our Savior who has given us everything.
Beyond Calvary had the distinct pleasure of opening
for the Dailey & Vincent
Band on August 10, 2008. Thanks you Dailey & Vincent we had a great
